Job Title:  Marketing & Communications Intern (this is a paid position)
Reports to:
Marketing & Communication Manager or Designee
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Hours: Up 15 hours a week (a combination of in-office and at a remote location)

Working Partners®, is a small business and recognized as a leader in our fieldThe company performs management consulting, employee education and supervisor training for substance-free (drug-free) workplace program operations.  We also administer and coordinate services of a buying-group consortium of employers needing drug-free program support and services such as troubleshooting, employee assistance, drug testing, etc.  Our markets are end-user employers and their employees as well as large systems that support drug-responsible workforces and endeavor to efficiently make resources available to their clients and constituents.  We maintain a residual book of business (end-user employers), sell to new clients, and actively seek and perform large project work that supports drug-free workplace efforts in communities.

Job Activities

Routine

  • Monitor traditional and social media associated with Working Partners®, drug trends and related topics of interest to the workplace, workforce and our business endeavors
  • Strategically interact with social media posts (e.g., like, share and comment) to establish Working Partners® as a thought leader, forge new business relationships and to grow current relationships
  • Create and oversee content calendar for social posts and other media efforts
  • Create, edit and post content on Working Partners® social media pages

General

  • Help drive social media activity
  • Identify/create a mechanism to track and report social media activity to the team
  • Assist with capturing and analyzing social media metrics
  • Create and edit content for publications and other communications (e.g., e-newsletters)
  • Assist with website updates and monitoring
  • Assist in the general distribution of press releases and media alerts
  • Collaborate with team on new ideas, directions and venues for marketing and communications
  • Attend regular marketing meetings and take minutes, when schedule permits
  • Attend other internal and external meetings, as needed and schedule permits
  • Research, as requested, to support programs and projects
  • Other related duties, as needed

Requirements

  • Adept with social media platforms and social analytics tools
  • Have access to a personal computer and internet
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (experience with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere are a plus)
  • Experience handling confidential information
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated organization skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Willingness to contribute to the strategic planning process
  • Ability to make independent decisions and problem solve
  • Strong desire to learn
  • Completed or working toward a college degree in a related field
