Help is truly only a phone call away with Working Partners®. We have found ourselves in some difficult situations since we implemented job site randoms that include subcontractors and it seems to happen invariably on Friday afternoons at 4:00 pm! Working Partners® has always been exceptionally cooperative in helping me to work through difficult situations patiently staying with me until I am comfortable handling them. They even call a few days later to check and see how matters worked out and if they can be of further assistance.

The DFSP Safety Review form (DFSP-2) is now available to submit online ...
Article date: 7/2010

DFSP Safety Review (DFSP-2) Details FROM THE OHIO BWC WEBISTE:

Introduction

All employers participating in BWC’s Drug-Free Safety Program (DSFP) must complete and submit online the DFSP-2 within 30 days of the start of each program year. The purpose of the form is to help you identify strengths and weaknesses in your current safety culture.

The DFSP-2 contains seven safety and health categories considered critical to an effective safety and health process. In each category, you will be asked to rate your company’s performance on five statements. The rating scale is provided below.

Rating scale: 1 = Never; 2 = Rarely; 3 = Sometimes; 4 = Consistent; 5 = Always

Rate your company’s performance in each statement as honestly as possible. No safety culture is perfect; therefore you should view this as a continuous improvement process.

Note: You may need to consult others at your company such as the president, CEO, owner, plant manager, human resources personnel, safety director, supervisors, shift leaders, safety committee members, maintenance department, etc., to accurately and effectively rate all the statements. We recommend only one company official enter the data and submit the form online.

Additional information: Once you identify areas for improvement, begin to define specific action steps that will help achieve the desired outcomes. Safety resources (link to new resource page)

Employers participating at the advanced level must complete and submit the DFSP Safety Action Plan (DFSP-5), outlining the action steps they intend to implement/accomplish during the remainder of the program year.
